These days, I make quirky, playful little pots using a very dark clay body. (No symbolism here!) I also make wall tiles intended to display a solo earring whose mate is lost. I call these “Still Beautiful Alone.” Each tile features a clay earring in case you’d rather hang it as-is.
I was a late bloomer, clay-wise. I spent the first decades of my life operating out of my left brain: my undergrad degree is in Math and I’m a lawyer. But in my 30s, a friend dragged me to a local parks & rec pottery class, and the rest is history mystery! It’s been a fun journey so far, and I’m still exploring.
I hope you’re finding your own way to be creative. It’s okay to live a life no one else understands.
