Membership Application
We are not currently accepting applications for New Members.
Membership Requirements
- Applicants must live within a 45 minute drive to Asheville (specifically the River Arts District) and be able to work in the gallery 1-2 days per month. 
- Applicants must be open to training on our POS platform, Square, and be able to process sales in the gallery. 
- Applicants will be assigned to one of the following teams, and must participate in their assigned team monthly: Display, Hospitality, or Marketing. 
- Applicants must be able to attend monthly meetings on the third Wednesday of the month from 5:30-6:30pm (up to 4 meetings can be missed per year). 
Submission Items
- A Resume 
- An Artist Statement 
- Three recommendation letters from friends, colleagues, teachers, or former employers. Unfortunately, current gallery members cannot be included in this submission. 
- 5 pieces of work that represent a cohesive body of work, meaning a series linked by style and theme. We ask that all work is current, and made within the past 2 years. 
- A list of skills and interests that will help us determine which committee will best suit your experience. 
- 5 digital images of work you intend to sell through the gallery, with dimensions and price (can be submitted on USB, emailed to Diana Gillispie at dianagillispie@gmail.com, or printed and included with physical application). 
- All materials should be printed out and placed in a folder for review - with the exception of the images, which can be submitted on USB. 
- Please be prepared to physically submit your folder including documents and 5 pieces of work intended for consideration in person at Odyssey Gallery of Ceramic Arts.
